This was a very committed and engaging collection of pieces, logically sequenced to give a cohesive programme. The candidate took the time to pace the programme effectively, allowing for generous musical separation between the items. Overall, there was very good control of the musical elements; dynamics might have been more expansive in places and the rhythmic impetus was occasionally unsettled, but the control of the tone was almost universally good. The candidate was very well engaged with this performance throughout. Hugely positive and engaging playing.

My boy has been enjoying his piano lessons with Teacher Amy for the past 2 years. She was recommended by a friend whose children, nieces and nephews were also taught by her. Other than being patient, she understands his temperament and moderates the lesson accordingly. She sparks his interest by teaching him songs he has heard and likes. Learning them brings the tunes alive and encourages him that nothing is too difficult!
Xuen Huei has been with Teaching Amy since Primary one. She is in Secondary one now preparing for her Grade 7 examination. Teacher Amy is friendly, caring and responsible. She is very patient with kids and experienced. My daughter has been acing every piano examinations with ease due to consistent coaching by Amy under a stress free environment. I would highly recommend Teacher Amy to anyone looking forward to enjoyable music lessons while attaining more knowledge in the field of music
